Local girl, NaTasha Glaspy was on 6 different medicine and weighed 376 pounds at age 27. The pills helped her manage her blood cholesterol,  cholesterol, type and pressure2 and pressure diabetes. She realized she could ditch many of her prescriptions if she lost weight

Once you get into the routine of lifestyle, it’s hard to get out of the routine to modification your lifestyle for the better-especially when it comes to weight loss.

The same holds true for Tasha.  Dating back to she can remember, she’s been overweight and was quite happy with being that real way for the rest of her life. But fate intervened and her small success turned into a huge victory. Here’s Tasha’s tale in her own words:

"I decided to lose fat after losing my work and being unable to afford my month to month maintenance medications - two blood pressure pills, a diabetes pill, and a cholesterol pill. I realized my weight was the reason I was on the majority of my medications. That depressed me more even, and I decided that it was time to make a change." she said.

Moreover, 2 years later, she’s dropped 160 pounds no longer needs those drugs.

My weight held me back again from flying on airplanes since the seat belts didn't in shape, and that was obviously considered a safety issue. I also couldn't ride trip rollercoasters due to similar safety restrictions. For approximately six years, I worked with kids, and I missed from so many engaging occasions like field trips and just walking and running around with them because I was constantly too tired.

“The remedy for all my health issues was weight reduction,” Glaspy, now 29, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina told us. “I knew I really really really needed to take control over my entire life.”

Glaspy had gained 70 pounds her freshman year of university and kept gaining until she carried 376 pounds on her 6’1” body. She also has polycystic ovary syndrome (the weight loss yoga program, yoga burn), which is a hormonal disorder that causes insulin resistance in many and will make weight loss even more challenging.

To regain control of her existence, she started slowly by firmly taking a class twice weekly at her local Winston-Salem YMCA, designed to help overweight people are more active.

In the beginning, my fitness level was nonexistent fairly. I remember heading to a boot camp that was designed for obese people, and the trainer told us we'd to walk briskly for 20 minutes. I thought that was actually impossible. As I continued training more, my endurance began to build up tremendously.

The first day time the trainer told Glaspy she needed to stand in a yoga pose for 20 minutes and she balked. There is no any way she could do it.

When I was losing weight, I started counting calories and concentrating on my carb intake because my own body is insulin resistant. I also started eating according to a timetable based on whether I exercised, worked that day, or if it was an escape day.

“It was overwhelming, but I kept heading,” she said. “I informed myself I'd keep going along with this journey if after this system I lost 20 pounds.”

At the end of pharse one  of the weight loss yoga program, yoga burn, she had lost 23 pounds.

“I was excited and I was happy. I experienced like, ‘Okay, I can do that,’” she said.

She started likely to other classes, including Zumba, kickboxing and weight-lifting boot camps, four times a week. And, she was transformed by her diet, cutting white carbs, sodas and juices and started eating more lean protein.

“That took me like three months to get this whole diet thing together,” she said. “The hard part is just figuring it out and getting the willpower.”

Glaspy has lost 160 pounds, Since March 2015. However, even more she’s transformed her health importantly.

“It’s very surreal because We had been taking high blood pressure medication since I was 16,” she said. “I am not just a prisoner to all or any these medications anymore. My own body can do what it is supposed to do.”

She hopes her success inspires others.

“It really is totally doable and anything is possible when you genuinely believe in yourself,” she said. "The best part of weight reduction may be the newfound energy and being able to do things I've under no circumstances done before. I'm also not taking all of those medicines, yes, not anymore and have also lowered my A1C (blood glucose level) from 6.7 to 5.1. The worst component is hitting plateaus and getting the excess skin."

Glaspy shared some crazy easy tips to help others hoping to lose excess weight.

1. Celebrate the little milestones.

When the real number on the scale only drops by one pound, it feels frustrating. But to Glaspy that little reduction helps still.

“Small progress is progress still," she said.

2. Remind yourself of where you’ve result from.

When the plateaus feel frustrating, hopeless and helpless, Glaspy looks at photos from before her weight loss. Sometimes she wears her aged jeans even. Those jeans which fit in one leg of her size 28 pants. This reminds her just how much she has accomplished.

3. Just move!

Glaspy’s weight reduction started with a brisk 20-minute walk. Now she works out four times a complete week for at least an hour. When she started, she under no circumstances imagined she would enjoy exercise.

“You have to get and you have to start moving up. Don’t be like I was, just sit and just dream about it,” she said. “Everyone somewhere starts.”

4. Find out what motivates you.

Not really needing medication inspired Glaspy. But everyone discovers different things that encourage them.

“You have to figure out why you are doing this, for your health, confidence, kids. You need to stick with why it is being done by you,” she said.

5. Eat what makes sense for you.

Because the weight loss yoga program, yoga burn causes insulin resistance, a low-carb, high-protein diet is most effective for Glaspy. But she believes others need to pick a diet that functions for them.

And, she urges people to be realistic. For those who tried to lose weight, she is suggesting. Just try the weight loss yoga program, yoga burn for one month to see if it works for you.

If it does, you shall be happy - and I think that is precisely what’s about to happen. If for some justification you are not delighted with the weight you have lost, the delicious fat melting foods you are eating, and how great you feel, then return it - and you get all of your money back.

You have a choice to create: Do what you have been doing (or worse, do almost nothing). You know where which will lead. Fat. Sick. Maintain morning at God.

Is that truly where you are heading to? Take a new action, and get yourself a new result. Get slender, healthy, content, and full of energy!
